About Laser Wash
Located at 8905 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78748, Laser Wash operates as a car wash serving Austin in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Austin, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Texas, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.
Its Google rating is 3.5 out of 5 from 51 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Austin is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Been coming here for years. The drive though car wash does a pretty good job. I'm giving it 4 stars because they've gone up on price quite a but but don't offer anything to make up for it.

Absolute rip-off. Paid $18 for the “premium” laser wash and my car came out just as dirty as it went in. No meaningful cleaning whatsoever …just colored foam and some sprinklers. To make it worse, two of the self-service bays were broken and yet they were still happy to take full price. This place is selling a foam show, not a car wash. Save your money and go literally anywhere else!

Beware - Look elsewhere for a more reasonably priced wash!!! The prices are $14, $16 and $18 currently! TrumpFlation is real! This car wash has been raising rates for their automatic car wash every few weeks, clearly trying to pay for a recent equipment replacement. The car wash is mediocre, and requires you to get out of a normal height car just to step through three prompts on a touch screen to select your wash and payment method, then you finally get to use the card reader and pay for your brief wash. Only the are you allowed to get back into your car and enter the car wash. Go slow, or you will cheat yourself out of your undercarriage wash... You are then rushed through the rest of your wash, and introduced to their 35-second dryer timer, which cut off 9 seconds prematurely today. In other words, your car does not get the drying you paid for as part of the wash. Again, look through the rest of the reviews and find a better and more affordable car wash. You can get a full hand wash and towel dry elsewhere for not much more than this car wash.

First time trying this place out. $14 not the cheapest wash out there, but did a pretty good job. Touch free, contactless car wash.

Came on a Saturday and it was busy. I didn't use any is the self serve bays so I can't say how good is bad they are, but it seemed no one was having any issues there. There were a couple of employees there working so it's you did have any issues, at least there would be someone there. I used the laser wash instead and it did an ok job. Still has some dust on the side of the vehicle but for the most part it was clean.
